Shri Jaswant Charitable Trust was founded by the family of Deogarh way back in 1965 with the view to save old temples and architectural monuments in and around Deogarh. Soon they got involved in helping people who were under opium / alcoholic addiction & people who were suffering from tuberculosis. This led to a concentration of resources for helping the underprivileged in education and health. Rawat Nahar Singhji and Rani Sahib Prabha Kumari left the comforts of palatial life style in 1965 to move to a small house where they reside till date. Rawat Nahar Singhji taught at Mayo College, Ajmer –a public school for over 30 years, as a school teacher and even today he is in the board of governors of the school.

Since they started a heritage hotel at Deogarh in 1996 they have been supporting under-privileged children of this region. Often, they give talks and make presentations to collect funds, which are then used to support these needy children in the Deogarh area. Today close to 2200 children have been given clothing and scholarships for these children from 26 schools around Deogarh. It costs 7 Pounds - to support a child for one year, that includes - 2 school dresses, exercise books , atlas, dictionary and pen/ pencils & bag (for a child unto 13 years). please note fees of the child is sponsored by the Govt. but he needs the following mentioned above for which the family has to pay. A special effort is made to identify children from parents living with income below the poverty line and only such are sponsored.
